As the long summer days rolled in, many parents were faced with the familiar question: How can we make this holiday meaningful for our children? At READ, we had an answer—one that combined joyful experiences, powerful Islamic lessons, and skill-building activities that would leave a lasting impact.
And just like that, READ Islamic Summer Camp 2024 turned into one of the most cherished memories of the year for over 100 young minds—and their families.
Why Choose an Islamic Summer Camp?
Let’s be honest—kids today are surrounded by endless distractions. Screens, games, noise… but very few things that nurture their inner character, identity, or connection with their Creator.
That’s where an Islamic summer camp like READ makes all the difference.
It’s not just a space to pass time—it’s a place to grow with purpose. A space where children learn the beauty of the Qur’an, understand Islamic values, explore new talents, and make like-minded friends—all in a safe, fun, and spiritually uplifting environment.
What Made READ Summer Camp 2024 So Special?
From the very first day, it was clear this wasn’t going to be an ordinary summer program. Here’s what set us apart:
1. A Beautiful Balance of Values & Fun
Every day was designed to offer both spiritual nourishment and joyful experiences. The schedule included:
- Qur’an Recitation with Tajweed
- Seerah & Stories from the Prophets
- Daily Adhkar & Practical Islam
- Arts & Crafts, Mehandi, Calligraphy
- Spoken Arabic & Public Speaking
- Cooking Skills
- And yes—even Robotics & AI sessions for our tech-loving learners!
We made sure each child explored something new every week while staying deeply connected to their Islamic identity.
2. Age-Appropriate Learning in Well-Structured Batches
Our students were divided into well-organized 4 batches based on age and learning level. Each batch had its own rhythm, its own vibe, and teachers who understood their specific needs. Whether a child was taking their first steps in Qur’an or delivering their first public speech, we had a path for them.
Camp Structure & Timing
The camp ran from July 8 to August 22, 2024—six wonderful weeks filled with learning and laughter. Each day began with a warm-up and prayer, followed by three dynamic sessions, snack breaks, and a “Practical Islam” hour where students practiced what they learned—Wudu, Salah, Islamic etiquettes, and more.
Who Were the Campers?
Here’s something we’re incredibly proud of:
Over 100 students from more than 20 different nationalities joined our Islamic summer camp in 2024. Children from the UAE, USA, UK, Sweden, India, Pakistan, Nigeria, Bangladesh, Myanmar, Egypt, Sudan, the Philippines, Jordan, and beyond—brought their energy, cultures, and smiles into one beautiful brotherhood and sisterhood of Islam.
It was unity in diversity, all connected through the light of Islam.
What Did They Learn? More Than Just Subjects!
Yes, the students gained knowledge. Yes, they practiced Tajweed and made crafts. But here’s what they really took home:
- A stronger connection with Allah and the Qur’an
- Confidence to speak up, share, and lead
- Respect and kindness towards parents, teachers, and peers
- Discipline and time management through structured activities
- Joy in teamwork, sharing, and learning from others
- A sense of belonging to the Muslim Ummah
These are not things you learn in textbooks. These are experiences you live—and that’s exactly what READ Summer Camp delivered.
Highlights & Memorable Moments
We made sure every week had something exciting, something different:
- 📸 Photo Capturing Contest (Eid Al Adha special)
- 🎤 Public Speaking Practice
- 💡 Weekly Competitions
- 🧕🏻 Mehandi Day for Girls
- 👨🍳 Cooking Without Fire
- 🧼 Practical Islamic Demos: How to perform Salah, Wudu, Janazah rites, etc.
The energy was contagious, and the smiles at the end of each day said it all.
